A new year begins and we are kicking 2018 off with an interview with a member that has been with us for almost 6 months! Living next to Mordor in New Zealand with Toragrai and 1234Werecool, she tackles challenges both in Runescape and IRL with confidence.

How many languages do you currently know, are learning and want to learn?
I currently know some basic German (My Gran was German), NZ Maori again (basic) and English (main language). I would like to learn more German so I can research my fathers family history more as well as Maori because it is getting used more and more in schools and in the community at large. Rather difficult to do when you cant read german!
What item do you think affects your daily life the most?
Is this IRL or RS lol? IRL it would be my contact lenses and RS it would be probably Auras as I rely on them a lot for what little bossing i do.
What is your earliest Runescape memory?
Tutorial Island and not being able to light a fire without clicking the tinderbox then the wood.
You get a ticket to visit Gielinor IRL. Where do you go first?
Priff as it is beautiful and there is so much to do there.
You get 30 seconds of full attention from all employees of Jagex. What do you say?
Gimmie better rng!! Hmm actually give every member of Clan Quest better rng.
Tell me your darkest secret that would make every ork in Mordor flee in fear.
Errr my halo slipped and i became totally evil...also i hide a special kinda ork...can't tell it's a secret!
1234werecool
How many verses of God of Nations can you recite?
I'm ashamed to say only the first verse. As a child at school we had to stand and salute the flag every morning while singing God of Nations. I'm fairly sure we made up half the words.
Doctorgallo
If you could live anywhere in Runescape, where would it be?
To be honest this is a hard one to answer as there are so many beautiful areas in RS but Armadrys camp south of Falador would suit me, not at ground level I'd like to be up all those stairs, I can only imagine the view from up there!
Cireon
Do you really have hobbits over there?
Apparently yes but I have never been to hobitville its quite a lot of travel involved from where i live. It is however on the *to do list*.
What is your favourite minigame in Runescape?
It may surprise many but i love Flash Powder Factory. It is a simple game with a twist.
Dragon Elder
What is your favourite event (halloween, easter, christmas etc) that you have experienced?
There was a halloween event that involved climbing up a cobweb. I enjoyed that it was kind of different. Not sure which year it was (thinks hard.....brain explodes..opps).
If you could add a new skill, what would it be, what would it do and how would you train it?
Mwahaha necromancy has always fascinated me so I'd like to see that in game. It could be trained by convincing an army of ghosts and skeletons to join you in battle (when they died you would have to train more thus leveling) or let you hire them as slaves for a certain amount of time (could be a possible gp sink).
What is your proudest moment in you Runescape history?
That would have to be having the honour of wearing a completionist cape for around 12 months before they added the *reaper title*.
If you can repeat one quest what would it be and why?
Probably While Guthix Sleeps. The plot line, lore and rewards seemed well balanced for the time it took.
Toragrai
What was your first 99?
Constitution on both Kat and her sidekick.
If you could buy any item in RS (gp not a problem) what would it be?
Sliske Staff it looks great and has a powerful punch behind it also. Mage is probably my most favorite combat skill.
If you were to ever cosplay as a character from rs what whould it be?
A cat (hehehe) they have the best life ever on rs (and irl) adventurers bring them up, feed them and hope like heck they do not run away.(My usn shoud have been a dead give away lol).
While playing Runescape what do you have coming out of your speakers? Eg. Youtube, Spotify. RS music, Netflix...
This can vary really depending on if I am looking at Youtube videos to learn bossing tactics or just generally playing I listen to a lot of Jango Radio Stations because there is a good variety of music that is relaxing.
Karen Angel
How often do you brush your teeth?
At least twice daily.
How often Do you floss?
Hmmm well plastic fantastics are not that easy to floss :P.
What are your favorite pair of shoes?
My flat walking (casual) shoes. They feel like walking on a cloud of air and don't make my feet sore at all.
How many pairs of shoes do you own?
Probably not as many as a *typical* woman does. I own two pair. Walking shoes and Work shoes. Social events are not my forte so I do not have a need for a large variety of footwear.
If you were magically transformed to the opposite sex for a day, what would you do and why?
Strangly enough I'd attend a mechanics workshop so I could save on car service bills.
Karen Angel
How often do you exercise?
Daily, we live very close to a coastal walkway. Its a lovely walk and i enjoy the fresh air, salty breeze and sunshine. The sound of the seabirds crying out etc.
What was your blood pressure the last time you got it checked?
Err I dont know exactly. I have just been put onto low dose blood pressure tablets. There is a bit of family (genetical tendancy) to develop high blood pressure.
What is your favourite over the counter drug?
I do not use over the counter drugs as many interact with other medication taken. Plus to be really honest I hate taking tablets of any description.
Xil-Cam
If you were a drink, what would you be?
A really fancy tropical (punch? I have forgotten the correct word for them) that tastes awesome but packs a real punch.
What is your favorite and least favorite quest?
Favourite: While Guthix Sleeps, I have been a fan of Guthix as I perfer the idea of balance rather than chaos. At one stage my alt account walked around RS in a full set of Guthix range armour (I also love the colour green). The lore and the story line i found rewarding.
Least Favourite: Broken Home, I just did not enjoy this at all. Puzzles within quests have a confusion factor for me. Also I just did not like the after quest rewards with timing factor as i fail them badly.
What Runescape God do you follow and why?
Since the Death of Guthix and his ideals of balance I follow no God on RS....lies I follow the God of RNG but he never listens to my plea.
Why did you choose your username?
Original or the new one? Original one (Kat a tonic) was a play on the word catatonic as due to medication issues i was sleepy for 90% of time. The new name (Calico Catz) is because we just rescued a beautiful calico coloured cat from the local animal shelter. It came about after noting there was some confusion between KatMaks name and my own.
Kotahi Atua: well its native New Zealand and i wanted people to know that i was a NZ player :). It does have a meaning but I will leave that to you to find what it is...
Cats or Dogs?
Definitely a cat person plus we are not permitted dogs in our rental. :cat:
Cardio or free weights?
Cardio when I can afford to go to the Gym. Meanwhile speed walking to keep at least semi fit.
What do you do for a living IRL?
I work in Community Support which involves caring for those that are disabled (confined to wheelchair or similar), intellectually handicapped and the elderly. Mostly showering them and assisting them to do tasks around the house that they find difficult. I find the work very rewarding - lousy pay rate but rewarding in other ways.
Choto 3000
When did you first start playing?
Around 14 years ago. I can remember lots of distractions as I was home schooling my son who has Asbergers Syndrome.
If I were to visit your country, what do you think I should do first?
Depending on season and what sports your into. Winter is great for skiing, there are enough mountains to choose from lol. Summer there are great nature tracks available or beaches a plenty to enjoy.
What are your fabourite cities/locations both in RS and in real life?
RS would be priff I love how they have a lot of skills centralised into one area, the architecture is amazing also.
IRL would be a very small community called Opononi its located not far from where i grew up as a child. Lovely beaches and the history in the area is of interest. Plus my Gran used to live there at one stage on a farm which hold a lot of happy memories for me.
Do you have a motto or a favourite phrase? if so, which is it?
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. In easier words treat others with respect and kindness if that is the way you expect them to treat you.
Do you play an instrument? If not, which instrument/s would you like to learn?
I used to play keyboard as a younger person. To be hones I'm out of practice but would like to start relearning this.
If you had to escape your country immediately, what is the one thing you'd take with you?
My son ofc he would never survive on his own.
Best thing of Clan Quest?
This is actually quite hard for me to answer but I would say that most members are helpful and willing to give advice when asked for it. The clan also lets me have my own time to do what I like to do without being made to feel that I have to compete with anybody to "fit" in.
Best film ever?
As a person who shys away from social contact due to PSD, this is a question that is also hard to answer although I enjoyed the film Eragon, mainy because it has dragons in it :P.
Best Book Ever?
I read a lot of Jodi Picoult books and to be honest could not name a "favourite".
one out of the many i have read. The storyteller was a good book to read as it was based on
a situation that was based on historical facts.
We thank Kat a tonic for this interview and hope she will find her time with Clan Quest enjoyable. :D

OZAZOYO
If you could live anywhere in Runescape, where would it be?
Although I've spent a lot of time in Varrock, I think I would like to live in Falador on the eastern side by the dwarves, mining guild, and Artisan's Workshop because I think if I lived in a setting like Gielinor I'd love mining/smithing and all things Dwarven.
[Editor’s note: GO SMITHING*

DRAGON ELDER
What is your favourite event (halloween, easter, christmas etc.) that you have experienced?
It's tough to say since at some point I was just coming back to RS and staying around every holiday event so I reallllly love those. I think Halloween and Christmas 2014 really got me because I loved the Ghost Hunter stuff and the freaky snowman override. Maybe the Beach in 2015 is a strong contender too.
If you could give yourself advice when you originally started playing RS what would it be?
Don't trust people that much, but try to get contact info for the friends you can trust and get close to so you don't lose track of them many years down the line >: where are you killkat2
[Editor’s note: Where are you sammy4u2 :c]
If you can add in a new skill, what would it be, what would it do and how would you train it?
I've talked about this in the cc quite a bit but I think Necromancy or a broader umbrella skill of Dark Arts or Dark Magic could really slot nicely into the game to cover the magical aspects players currently cannot do, like necromancy, transforming into other types of monsters and beings, mind control, and evil-like things. It could be an elite skill of sorts that needs magic, summ, and idk rc and/or prayer? I know this could probably never happen but I always thought it would be cool and I did always want to be able to play and train as other species in the game, like as dwarves or goblins or a young demon or something. Dark magic could be the window to see into the lives of other creatures like that.
What is your proudest moment in your Runescape history?
My proudest moments are the extremely few times my noob self is about to get pk'd but I manage to fight back and win. This has probably happened like 3 times ever.
If you can repeat one quest what would it be and why?
I still haven't even done most of the quests that I want to but I did always like the emotional response that The Chosen Commander and its line invokes. Evokes? I think it's invokes.
TRU

TORA
What was your first 99?
I left RC at 98 for the longest time and got Cooking to 99 first on Rownak7, but Construction took that helm for rowpita/rowtatoes/whateverIcallmyselfnow shortly after the Beach 2015 event and the Falador event. I wanted that one to be fletching but I seldom ever trained anything actively enough to get it there.

What is the main goal in RS that you are striving for at the moment?
Right now I'm just trying to gather up enough gp to get premier club for 2018 and I'm maybe halfway there unless I sell everything I have, since I might not be able to use IRL money for it. Besides that, I do indeed want to get my clan rank up and do more quests.
If you could buy any item in RS (gp not a problem) what would it be?
I'm torn between my love for ranged in p2p to get the Seren Godbow or maybe I'd even rather prefer the upcoming t92 crossbows, and something ridiculous and cosmetic like the old h'ween masks or the scythe.

If you were to ever cosplay as a character from RS what would it be?
I've actually thought about this even though I've never cosplayed in my life and I think the Mahjarrat look really cool and would be fun to dress up as!
While playing Runescape what do you have coming out of your speakers? Eg. Youtube, spotify, RS music, Netflix..
Sometimes I have a song playing on u2b in the background because I'm too much of a pleb for spootyfooty (and I keep forgetting my friend's password) and then u2b does its thing where it just plays songs based on htat first song, or I casually watch Netflix or peruse various jobboards or wikipeda or something on the side if I'm (and I often am) afk-ing
Are you a true potato?
YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT, RIGHT?

What is your favourite way to eat potatoes?
I like to truly experience my food with all of my senses so I smear some potato on my eyeballs and stuff it into my nostrils and ears while I take whole handfuls and try to fill my mouth as quickly yet thoroughly as possible.
KATATONIC
Why did you decide to start an iron man account?
I started it the same time ironman even came out as a feature and I wanted to try it. It seems like an interesting subsection of the community and I did stuff like it for years before trying to have self-sufficient accounts. I don't play on it as much as I used to, though x:
Favorite area/city in RuneScape (other than Priff)?
Pfff I wouldn't even know if I would say Priff is my favourite, but I did always like Port Phasmys* and thought maybe there could be more interesting ghostly lore there, or I'm just saying that to avoid saying Varrock which is probably where I've spent most of my time over the past 12 or so years.
[Editor’s note: Port Phasmys lol PLS*

Goals in the game and or favourite skill?
I don't really have many clear goals except at least maxing and getting the basic quest cape at some point, but my favourite go-to skills were always mining/smithing or fletching or divination, but since 99ing all of those I guess I'd have to say I find myself doing a lot of slayer when I have off time
TYCO
How many languages do you currently know, are learning and want to learn?
As far as speaking goes, I'm not too confident speaking much more than what I like to think is some pretty darn good English and maybe some of my odd dialect of Bangla, but I can understand more Spanish and Hindi than I give myself credit for, and can definitely read and write Bangla, Hindi, somewhat Arabic, and soooomewhat Korean. I haven't been actively working on them much but I'd like to get better at these, although mostly for reading and writing and not conversation.
What item do you think affects your daily life the most?
Irl I'd say it's my shoes since I constantly feel the squeak in my left one with every other step and they take me all over the place while protecting me. In-game I'd say it's any item that lets me teleport like mad for free or for very cheap, so the crystal teleport seed or the R.O.W. [das me*
What is your earliest Runescape memory?
Oh wow this is tough since in the earliest days I would pick up and drop RS every few months before finally settling on GETTING ADDICTED to it in like 2005-2006 but I distinctly remember seeing the rabbits come out of the holes for the 2006 Easter event and not knowing what the heck I was supposed to do so I never got that egg transformation ring…

You get a ticket to visit Gielinor IRL. Where do you go first?
Wouldn't it be a rite of passage to go to Lumbridge first, accidentally attack an imp and freak out, and then chill at the Duke's quarters feeling all important?

You get 30 seconds of full attention from all employees of Jagex. What do you say?
I never even thought of this but I guess I'd want to thank them for giving me something I fall back on all the time and to keep up the good work and give me premier club for like half off or something pls n thnx
Tell me your darkest secret that would make the Wise Old Man hand over his partyhat.
I've wondered for years what would get the Wise Old Man shook and came up short but the darkest secret of mine that I can think of is that sometimes I used to get on RS to shirk responsibilities and claimed I was on the computer for something else. Nowadays I'm pretty upfront about just being on RS heh.
*Row interrupts the interview*
Row: I wonder if these are starting to get too long [you can cut this sentence out if they are x:]
Choto: Shut up and answer. Keep em comin pls.
CHOTO
HOODS
JIIDZ
When did you start playing?
I first picked it up around 2004 but didn't really play until 2005 when some friends got into it, and then EVERYONE got into it towards late 2005 and early 2006 so I stayed playing regularly in 2006. I still never picked up my 10 year cape on rownak7, though. Oh this account I started after I went to college and had my own money so around 2012. Rownak7 stays purely f2p, this one stays purely p2p with continuous membership since then hence the oodles of loyalty points.
What was your very first accomplishment cape?
I guess since I couldn't get capes in f2p the first one that I have keepsaked as untrimmed on this one is 99 construction! Random, I know, but I barely spent 2m getting there.
If I were to visit your country, what do you think I should do first?
Wait what country are you even in now? I feel like NYC and the rest of 'murica are significantly different because even when I watch stuff about american households and towns on TV it's some surreal distinctly different environment so honestly m8 I haven't even been to this country myself. If you're ever in NYC we're getting thai or korean food and then watching people fall at an ice rink or something.

What are your favourite cities/locations, both in RS and in real life?
In RS I'd have to go for the classic Varrock and Lumbridge locations. There's something a tinge racist about all of Al Kharid lol and Menaphos might have more potential than it offers now. IRL I can't imagine being anywhere but NYC and its surrounding vicinity so that's also a corny default-ish answer. I did really enjoy the time I spent in Boston and Philadelphia, though.

Good ol’ Varrock
Do you have a motto or a favourite phrase? If so, which is it?
I used to have several but I can't even remember them now. I think they're mostly too embarrassing to even say here, but there was one where if someone would say something that sounded ridiculous or outlandish or would sound weird without context, I would say something like "that's my name, don't wear it out!" Yeah I know it's like a dad joke
Which quest you believe to be the best?
The best quest? That's a toughie especially since most of wat I know of quests are what I read on the wikis years ago since now that I have a goal for doing them all I haven't reread fearing spoilers, but I do still think the Chosen Commander line is one of the most compelling.
Do you play an instrument? If not, which instrument/s would you like to learn?
I don't think various classes and lessons in piano really count but if they did there's that. I like to say that my voice is my best instrument since I like to sing, but even then ehhhh. I would like to learn to paly guitar, specifically the bass
Tell us the story behind your name!
Oh man which one?? Rownak7 was because I liked prime numbers but didn't like 5 and Rownak3 was my original account that got hacked two weeks in presumably by a classmate, and rowpita was a portmanteau of my name and my ex's, which is kind of awkward since we broke up in early 2015, but I couldn't think of another name to switch to. Grim Rowper was Suli's idea for my sp00ky halloween-themed name, and row of snow was my own to get into the snowy festive theme this time around. I changed to rowtatoes around I think July or August to ifnally move past that old name because as a kid when my English was limited and people would ask me what my favourite food was I didn't know much else to say besides potato.
If you had to escape your country immediately, what's the one thing you'd take with you?
I'd take my partner MAHBUBA @mahumbaba IG plug no shame because I'd be pretty lost on my own.
Hoods, shoods, hoofs, jiids or hiods?
Never seen hoofs so I'd go with jiids or when I'd inevitably typo on even that and type kuufd
Can you tell me why is it an art to have a full bank? (And preferably full inventory and equipment as well)
It is not an art it is laziness and OCD and kleptomania all sort of rolled into an ugly burrito that is my life. I wish I could go dung and the smuggler would just hold onto my stuff for me lol
[Editor’s note: Just lol*
Best from Clan Quest?
THE PEOPLE! I Love being able to talk to y'all whenever I'm on and getting to know everyone gradually
Best film ever?
Oh man that's extremely tough so I might just go with my favourite from 2017 and say "Get Out" was a really good one.
Best book ever?
This is also a real toughie but I grew up captured by Roald Dahl's odd little stories so I might go with the BFG

WHEW THAT's ALL OF EM
And that’s it! First interview of the year, thank you very much, Row! Happy 2018 everyone!

January 2018
Welcome back, noobs! This month we’ve had three nominees: Toragrai, MsKonnan and Thaxy.
I wish to nominate Toragrai. Tora is (un)fortunate enough to live in pretty much the opposite timezone from game time. We often hear there are not enough events in the playing time for our clannies in New Zealand, Australia, and East Asia, and rightly so. It is easy to organise events at a time where you know many people are online. It is not easy to start organising events where less people are online, but where there are still people who joined the clan to do exactly what a clan is for: have fun together. Toragrai has started organising Tears of Guthix (and a few other) events to start fixing this problem. This is a great mindset, and this shows how we can make this clan an awesome place together. Not very random, but definitely an Act of Win.}}
Nominating Toragrai as well. Taking the initiative of hosting events on a timezone that's not majority active is a noble action..
Definitely second the votes for Tora. It is an awkward time zone to work around and she is doing a wonderful job of it!
I nominate MsK.
As a member of council I get to see what goes on with recruitment and bringing new members into Clan Quest. Some of you may not know MsK and that's fine. Some of you may know her and know her kindness and all around very positive attitude. But there's another side to MsK. MsK handles an immense amount of the work that goes on with recruitment and new recruits in general in Clan Quest. It's fair to say that without MsK, recruitment wouldn't be as smooth as it is now. At the end of the day, if you're just a regular member and aren't sure how recruitment works, MsK has a lot to do with it running smoothly.
Thanks MsKI nominate Thaxy.
I asked the cc where I could get teci for one of my trimmed reqs. Thaxy informed me that its a reward from raids, to which my heart immediately sank. Finding ten people for raids would mean using fc's and the RSOF, and completing the raid would mean watching guides.
She then asked me if I wanted to join as she looked for a team, to which I said yes. Apparently, not many people were willing to take in a newbie, but ten minutes later, I was told to gear up. I got invited to a group, and teleported to Mazcab, where Thaxy gave me a quick rundown of everything I need to know for the boss. The kill went smoothly, and I got all the teci I needed.
Thaxy totally carried me through what would've been a long and tedious process.
Five judges were involved in the selection of a winner. And they chose....
Drumroll |
---|
THAXY “I will choose Thaxy. This is a true display of what it means to be in a clan, in my opinion. To be there for your clannies, and to go above and beyond in helping them achieve their goals.” “I vote Thaxy too as that is exactly the kind of help a lot of clannies need.” |
Congratulations!
-----|-----
Wait a second... -You may say- What are the RAWR Awards??
Check this link!
PS: Please remember no clannie is better than other just because they won a RAWR edition. You're already a winner if you made it to this thread, because it means you care about others and make our clan a better place every day. Thanks to Cureon, Katatonic, Seb, Shane and Tyco for nominating and congratulations to Tora, MsK and Thaxy. See you next month!

Welcome to the Best and Worst Banks Competition (B&WBC for short) results!
First of all, I feel obliged to ask forgiveness to the judges. I know the instructions and the rules were quite tricky and confused some of you, and that's completely my fault. Nevertheless, you made a great job and more. We'll start now with the Aberrant Hoarders team, formed by Rei the Noob, Rownak the Choob and Choto the Hood.
After several days minutes, we selected the top 3 most disgustingly organized and beautiful banks.
We want to award 2 honorific mentions to Proto and Jessi.
*drumrolls*
Third place goes to...
SHANE! with 2 points! |
*more drumrolls*
Second place to...
KATATONIC! with 5 points! |
*DRUMROLL INTENSIFIES*
And finally, the prize for the best bank of Clan Quest, with an impressive score of 9 points goes to...............
*interrupts because speech*
*clears throat*
This person has showed us that our hoarder life is not the only way. He has proved you can have very few items and still be able to play the game and not fall into despair when you see the horrific vision of an empty bank.
And this person is...
SEB! |
Also before we move to the disastrous banks, there is a certain Cleaning Master judge who thought he was judging the nice banks... He then procceeded to "tear apart" (his own words) every single nice bank. Here is Sirapyro's ranking (and commentaries).
MY RANKINGS:
1st: Jessiboo 2nd: Sebbage 3rd: Kat a tonic
Jessiboo, despite the junk tab and general large number of items, easily has the most organized of the banks, and it's the nicest to look at. Sebbage, while unorganized, has a relatively condensed bank, not holding on to TOO many items he doesn't need. And Kat a tonic's bank, while a bit cluttered, has a lot of potential to look a lot better with just a little bit of extra organization and purging.
SEBBAGE |
---|
This bank is fairly condensed, which earns it some merit, but has a few flaws that are most certainly NOT clean. For starters, pets do not belong in banks, each and every pet in your second tab should be grown and put into the menagerie of your POH. The limit has been dramatically increased from its original form, so there's no excuse! Any aura not regularly used does not need to be held in your bank. If you ARE using it regularly, then fine. Likewise, any and all unused skilling outfits(shark, golem, divination, etc.) can be stored with Diango free of charge. I see multiple within your sixth tab primarily, and unless you're using them they're just pointlessly taking up space. All of this leads to my biggest gripe: it may be listed as nice, but there doesn't appear to be much organization whatsoever. Things are put into separate tabs, but I can't find any sort of theme for each tab. You have auras spread across four different tabs, your armor seems to be all over the place, the only thing that seems to have a definitive, maintaned theme is your eight tab, which appears to be Invention. There might be ideas of tab themes, but it looks to me like they were eventually ignored, and things were scattered about. If you were in dire trouble and needed me to fetch something from your bank for you, I wouldn't have any idea of where to look. |
KAT A TONIC |
---|
There seems to be a lot of stuff in this bank, where there doesn't need to be as much. For starters, this is more a minor one, but you appear to have potions scattered about and disorganized in both your first and third tabs. And in the third tab they're all strewen about, no clear organized system. I feel like specific potions would be a lot harder to find like this. You have a lot of seeds, and a lot of potted plants. If you're intending to use all these, fantastic. If not, they do little more than take up space and make the things you DO want to use harder to find. I think your third tab, specifically, could benefit form just a little bit of reorganization, put the similar items together. Jumping back to the first tab, it seems to be more of a miscellaneous tab, which is fine, but not everything in there seems entirely necesary to keep. The crystal keys should either be used or sold, and you even have a random tooth half that could easily be combined with a loop half, thus freeing up an extra space. You've also got a crystal teleport seed in here, but also in a later tab. Like items should always go together! I think this first tab could stab to be purged and have most of items items moved to other more themed tabs. Your second tab is mostly comprised of staffs, runs, and rune pouches. Ok. The armor seems out of place, even if it is otherwise a magic tab, but if it's a system of "Magic tab", "Ranged tab", "Melee tab", I'd allow it. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to be. Also, you have three auras in your infinity tab, and then four in this one in no particular order. Unused auras just take up space, and unless they're themed to a specific skill, should be kept together so the bank looks cleaner and they're easier to find. Also evaluate if you need all of the staffs and outfits. Sometimes they're unnecessary, and killing outfits can and should be stored with Diango unless they're in active use. Your fourth tab is clearly summoning with a mix of divination and teleportation items, and for the most part seems fine to me. You could maybe cut down on some of the things you're not using, sell them off to clear up some bank space, but for the MOST part this tab seems organized and it's clear what it's meant to be. With a little bit of moving things around, finding what you're looking for would be a piece of cake. Your fifth tab, though, is intimidating to look at. Most of the space looks like it's just different tiers of skilling resources; logs, planks, ores, etc. I'm a broken record but unless you actively intend to use these items, there's no reason to keep them, and they only serve the purpose of filling up your bank. The solo dragonhides don't seem necessary, nor do the plethora of different amulets, rings, and bracelets. I feel like you could easily clear out half of this bank tab, and it would be all the cleaner for it. Also not entirely sure why there's random weapon/weapon bits scattered about. Now, I assume this is your combat tab. Yet more uncondensed auras, but combat auras in their own tab I can accept more easily than others. You have a LOT of bolts/arrows that I don't think you need, though, and again just take up space. Only keep what you need, if you're never using some of these things then why bother keeping them? If you "might" need them in the future, I am of the opinion that you can grab them in the future. Your seventh tab, similarly, seems to have a lot of different weapons(and yet more auras) that aren't entirely needed. Anything you're not using, or can easily be reobtained, can go. I honestly cannot tell what your eighth tab is supposed to be, it seems like assorted "other" outfits and... stuff. Also from this picture it looks like there's noe random empty space in the middle right. This isn't anything against your bank, I'm just baffled! A lot of this stuff can either be stored in a POH, with Diango, gotten rid of or condensed into a different tab. Same with your final tab, it seems like a lot of this could be condensed into a skilling tab(are those seeds outside your seeds tab?), but some of it(like Invention stuff) I can understand. Also, still another aura. Overall I see good things, but there's definitely a lot of clutter surrounding it. |

The first thing that immediately stick out to me with this bank is that there are a LOT of auras. Do you use all of these? Because if not, they can all be harmlessly stored in the loyalty shop. They may need to recharge when you reclaim them, but I cannot imagine you use every single one of these auras regularly? Looking past that, I'm struggling to find solid maintained tab themes. As is the case with most banks I've looked at, it starts with a theme and then devolves from there. Your fourth tab, with the auras, seems relatively fine, I can't fault you for combining runs and teleport items. The auras don't entirely make sense to me, but I'll overlook that because they can be harder to place. But moving away from that, your third tab appears to be for weapons. Forgive me for not recognizing everything in here, but why do you have so many duplicate items? Unless there's a really, really good reason to keep them, toss 'em. Sell them if you can, but there is rarely any reason to keep multiples of the same item, ESPECIALLY if they don't stack! You're sacrificing bank space, and making it far less tidy in the process. Also if this IS a weapons tab, why are there potions? And I'm not even entirely sure what most of them items on the bottom row are. Also that Vexilum should be on your person, ready to plant at a moments notice! (;D) Your second tab looks to be random outfits pieces and amulets? It looks a bit cluttered to me, anything in here that can be stored with an NPC(such as Diango), or destroyed and reclaimed later should be gotten rid of unless you actively use it. I know that can be difficult with RNG pieces such as that Black Ibis top, but surely you don't actually need that many different platelegs? Or random boots? Some of those amulets look useful, but I'm not sure all of them are doing much more than taking up space. Moving up again, your infinity tab can probably just be collapsed into something else. No real complaint about it, it just seems a little random. Now I'll work my way back up from the bottom: your ninth tab appears to be a random assortment of items, which makes banks feel more cluttered. The tab above it also feels the same way, I can't exactly figure out what the theme of it is supposed to be. They both feel like randomly tossed around items. Tab seven starts out as a potions and summoning tab, which is all fine until I notice there are potions scattered around other tabs. Are they for different purposes? It seems like it'd be easier to condense it all, and then organize it within a single tab. And then once we get past the potions and summoning items we have food, fine, and... armor? I guess that's fine, you don't seem to have any other dedicated main armor tab, but when you combine too many different functions into a single tab it starts to get messy, and things start to become harder to find. Tab five(skipping six for the moment) seems like books, scrolls, some miscellaneous stuff, and pets? No pet should be forced to endure living in a bank, and should all be put into your menagerie, which should have more than enough space after the cap increases in recent years. That poor pig, bird, cat, troll, monkey, iguana, fish, etc. Also, the god/raven eggs are completely unnecessary unless you intend to hatch one of each OR use them as summoning ingredients. If not, they're taking up space. The books on the top two rows, meanwhile, can mostly be ditched, as almost all books are stored in your POH bookcase once you receive them. Something like the prayer book or captain's log are fine, but for the most part they seem unnecessary for a clean bank. And then there was the sixth tab. The length of it is intimidating, but it seems like it's a generic skilling tab. The number of things in here alone makes it hard to find anything specific, which seriously hurts its status as a clean bank. Unused skilling outfits should be stored with Diango, not in your bank, of which I see at least four different sets, at a glance. There's summoning pouches strewn about, yet you've got another tab with summoning pouches. In general I think this tab could benefit from a once-through, removing everything not actively being used, or you know you won't be using for some time, in order to increase your bank space and tidy everything up. Overall, I feel like things could be shuffled around a bit to better pair them with similar items, overall increasing the ease of access and tidiness of the bank. |

The VERY first thing I see? Your cash stack taking up a bank space. That already makes me nervous because the money pouch is completely safe, so keeping money in your bank is just a waste of space. Maybe you're trying to keep it seperate for some reason, but regardless of any explanation it still takes away from a neat and organized bank. As I have mentioned before, any and all skilling outfits, holiday items, etc. should be stored with Diango unless you actively intend to use them. If not, it's just taking up space, which you already appear to be crucially lacking. I tink I can see the ideas of tab themes, but you don't really seem to maintain them. Are those seeds in your infinity tab? Why aren't they in tab eight? Why do you have all of those older items in your second tab? Maybe a few of them are for clue scrolls, but is there really any need for multiple elemental shields, random amulets/rings, and dragon equipment? Likewise, that Warpriest of Saradomin should probably go in your POH. I guess I can see tab three as a fletching tab/woodworking tab, until you randomly have sets of armor in there? That makes 0 sense for an organized bank. Tab 4... okay, Magic/teleportation/Runecrafting gear. I am of the opinion that the armor should have its own dedicated tab, and the invention stuff seems misplaced, but I'll allow it. At first glance your next two tabs look like summoning and food tabs respectively, but quickly devolve into... less comprehensible. I can appreciate a "gathering" tab, but I'm really not getting it. Unless you have an immediate plan for all these rings, amulets, ores, gems, and secondaries, they can be gotten rid of or put into the appropriate Dungeoneering bag. I'm sorry, but I don't think you need to be keeping lobsters or swordfish anymore, they're taking up space! Pre-existing knowledge tells me that your herblore and farming tabs make sense, and I imagine you have bigger goals for each of them(or, at least, farming), so they make sense for someone with long term plans. But I'd be lying if I said they weren't hard for me to look at. Shave off any excess 1/2 dose potions, sell any potions/seeds/herbs you don't actually intend to use, and I'm fairly certain pestal and mortars are now stored on your tool belt. Don't need 'em. Also I'm fairly certain that one random chocolate bar doesn't have any business hanging out with the seeds. Which brings us to your last tab, which looks to me like a dump tab. Never have a dump tab. I am of the opinion that a lot of your items, especially in this tab, are unnecessary and could be purged, and then reorganized into other tabs to condense space and look more efficient. The various random hats and boots are either easy to reobtain if they're needed, or can be stored with NPCs or in your house. |

For the most part, you have very solid tabs, I can easily tell what each of them are supposed to be except for maybe the infinity tab, but I tend to use that as an "assorted/misc." tab as well, so for the most part it seems fine to me. You've certainly got a variety of different armors in your PvM tab, more than I would expect someone to use, but I cannot deny that it's well organized and easy to pull out exactly what you're looking for. I'm always going to be uncomfortable with potentially unused auras, but I see what you're doing with them. It comes at the cost of bank space, though. No qualms whatsoever with your third or fourth tabs, they look very neat and condensed, only containing what they need to. I like them, though personally I don't tend to hang on to secondaries I don't intend to use in the immediate future. It's your fifth tab that stops me up a little bit. I understand the logic of holding on to different potion doses for storage, but damn does it take up a lot of space. I am incredibly biased AGAINST doing this, so while it does look very well organised, it's a huge banking sin in my book. Alaways combine all potions into the same dosage, and only keep lesser doses if you're actually using the potions regularly. If they're just sitting there, there's no reason for them to waste your bank space. Your sixth tab makes sense, but I always get a little uneasy with so many stacks of 1 seed. It takes up space, and unless you intend to use them, it's really for nothing. If you expect to maybe gain more of those seeds in the future, they can always be stacked back into the bank until you use them. As it stands, they're just taking up space and make the tab look a little bit more cluttered. I also don't recommend hanging on to gathering resources such as divine energy or herbs unless you have an absolute goal in mind for them. If they're just sort've there, sell them, make the money! Or if you want to make charge packs or whatever it is I'm thinking of, do so! Same goes for nails (which are all but useless after a certain construction level), and planks. This is one of the better skilling tabs I've seen, but I feel like it could be cleaner than it is. Then we jump down to your slayer tab, which I am not a fan of in general. This is not a slight against your slayer tab, I am just of the opinion that holding on to slayer/PvM drops is utterly pointless. The end goal is to sell them anyway, so just do it! It does nothing but hog up bank space and withhold money that could be yours. That is, of course, my opinion. However, your gemstones should absolutely be put into a gem bag, condeses your bank and makes it just a little bit neater. Which brings me to the final section of the bank, the junk tabs. I understand a miscellaneous tab but good lord do they take up space. Fishing cages, a couple cannonballs, a chocolate bar, a one, a banana, buckets, a gold ring, a random tinderbox, chisel, ashes, spades, an eyepatch, a mithril dagger, some newts eye, really? I could go on, but ultimately most of the things in this tab seem to be things that could could effortlessly be rid of, freeing up a ton of bank space for you. Not to imply that you're short on it, but man does this tab feel unnecessary! This is my biggest gripe for your otherwise fairly clean and organized bank. |

And now, we'll continue with the most disastrous banks. The judges for this category were Kebabthief the kebab thief, Mr. Master of the Universe Sirapyro, Tyco Elf of the elven lands and Suli the Jiid, who belong to the Cleaning Masters team.

Honorific mentions to Tora and Row
Kebab says:
Special note for row: takes alot of strength to play in that mode
Special note for choto: LEARN WHATS IN YOUR BANK
Tyco says:
Not only Row has collected a vast amount of items worth nothing and in several cases a huge amount of it, but even to the extent that it has filled up every F2P and P2P space in the bank. Going beyond the word "hoarder", this person has broken glass, bones from monsters and even rocks in an unorganized state that nobody can even look at without feeling disgust. And as the cherry on the top the photos of the bank wasn't even in the right order, a sign that the owner of the bank is already way beyond salvation.
Sira says:
My Rankings:
1st: Questcaping
2nd: Xenon
3rd: Rei
This was a tough one, each of you had a single tab that was just horrible. I mean really, really awful, so much so that I couldn't actually choose which one was worse. So I made my decision based on your use of the OTHER tabs. Rei has very loosely defined, somewhat useful potion, herb, summoning and rune tabs(even if they are scattered around), putting him in a very narrow third. It was tough to figure the rankings from there, but Xenon's rune/potions tab is something I'd expect to see in a clean bank, while the only thing Questcaping has resembling an organized tab is her invention one. As such, all three were very close but I've gotta say Questcaping takes worst bank.
Okay and first place goes to QUESTCAPING!
Congratulations, Seb and Questcaping, for those disgusting and amazing banks (respectively). Thank you everyone who took part of this, even those noobs who didn't enter on time ;D

Bulletin - January 2018
I sort of jumped the gun and wrote a 2017 in review for Clan Quest. With that in mind, I think I can leave the bulletin quite short this month. I can only write that much without losing my sanity after all ;)
Happy 2018! You've probably heard it a couple of times already, but I will say it once again: happy 2018! So, do you have any New Year's resolutions yet? Maybe one of those resolutions is to get more involved in clan business. Well, you came to the right place. If you're interested in helping out the clan with events, recruitment, writing, video editing, art, website, or what will you, please drop me a message. Even if none of those sound interesting: if you want to help in any way, please just get in touch and we'll surely find something for you to do.
We are always in need of more people to help out, and you have seen how much we have been able to do on for example events, the website, and the magazine with the people who have given the clan some of their spare time.
Of course, this is all voluntary. But, why not take the chance of a new year to spend that extra effort in getting to know some new clannies. Who knows, you won't be the first one making a friend for life that way :)
12 days of Christmas While we didn't manage to fill all 12 days of Christmas with events, I am happy to see that some of you jumped right on it, and we had a December filled with awesome events. I will announce the winners to the Vex competition soon. Thanks everybody who organised and joined the events. I hope it contributed to a fun and festive December.
Offsite We're still working on the Wiki theme, and hopefully we'll have the first things to show this month. If you're interested in writing content for the Wiki, please get in touch with myself or any of the other editors.
RSBandB Partnership We have been working together with RSBandB for a while now. Last year we had several clan members as guests and even cohosts on the RSBandB podcast. If you want to hear what we've been up to, check out their 2017 Clip Show, summarising the funniest, most important, and behind the scenes clips from all year.
We'll be continuing this partnership this year. If you're interested in hearing more, shoot Shane a PM (but not actually shoot - be gentle about it).
