Bulletin - June 2019
Head of RuneScape Guild Council
Last month I informed everyone that there was an election underway in the RuneScape Guild Council to determine it's next leader, and that vote has concluded. Even though he has already been serving in the role for a few weeks now, please congratulate Draziw on his victory! Draziw's victory does come with one condition, however: as a full time law student, his time is fairly limited, and though he has been on a "summer break" that has allowed him to be active enough to fulfill this role, that won't last past mid-July, when he has determined he will resign from the role. He talks more about his plans, intentions to resign, in a message he's provided to the Questaholic in the next article!
Runefest 2019
It's that time of the year again! That time of the year where everyone starts talking about the long haul to England to celebrate the games we play together, in person! OK, maybe not everyone, but Clan Quest at Runefest has become a tradition that many of our Clan's members look forward to each year! Part of that tradition is supplying Clan Quest's members with the communication channels necessary to organize the event, and provide support for each other. We have set up a forum on the offsite, as we usually do, for discussion about the event, and the seasonal "Runefest" channel has returned to Discord.
Additional Promotions
At the end of April, Shiro Shana was promoted to the administrative team, and given the rank of Moderator on both the offsite and on our Discord! Though it has been a few months now, Sugam has also recently been promoted to this role, and I would like to officially congratulate the both of them on their promotions to this position! The Moderator position offers those who have it a lot of power over the forums and Discord management, so be promoted to it is a sign of immense trust and respect.
In the Old School Clan Quest Guild, both Skeezer and Sesshyy were promoted to the Guild Council after petitioning for the role publicly, in two separate posts in the Old School forums. This is the first case of someone not in a Guild Council petitioning for the role, and also successfully being promoted - emphasizing that this is an option for all members of Clan Quest.

Hey Everyone!
I’m Draziw. Some people call me boon. If you aren’t sure why, it’s an old inside joke.
I’ve been in Clan Quest for a few days, I’m thankful to have become a part of this amazing community. Believe it or not, in June the powers that be thought it acceptable to elect me the Head of Guild Council for the Runescape Guild. I’m honored! I’ve already stated that I only intend to hold the role through July 15th, at which point I intend to resign. During my brief time, I have been working on mentoring some of the present councilors, and have helped push a wave of new promotions. In the last 2 years, only 8 people were promoted into the RS3 Guild Council. Since I assumed office, we’ve promoted 6, and maybe there will be more?
The remainder of my time in office is going to be spent updating our guilds policies to be a bit more modern and easier to understand. More importantly, I’d like to move as much of the “management content” as can be moved into more public locations, like the wiki. This allows aspiring newcomers in our community to see how and why we do what we do, and it makes the “dark shadowy backroom dealing” that often appears to happen within the clan’s management a little more transparent.
I really believe that Clan Quest is awesome because of how much we strive to include anyone who is interested in contributing. So without making a cheezy commercial out of this- Have you ever considered hosting an event, recruiting new members, writing an article for this magazine, creating an app, designing a website, creating art, filming videos, or doing a countless number of things I’ve probably not thought of that would make Clan Quest more awesome? How can I help?

I speak English, and even that is debatable. I would love to learn Latin.
If you had to escape your country immediately, what's the one thing you'd take with you?
A pocket knife.

Zibae. RIP Zibae.

Tears of Guthix Events
Between 2011 and 2014, the recurring "Tears of Guthix" event hosted by the Questing Clan of RuneScape was the biggest, and longest lasting, series of events hosted by Clan Quest, even to this day.

At the risk of having Tyco get two RAWRs in a row, I'd like to drop a bit of recognition in here.Last night I was talking in clan chat about having got my first Acheron Mammoths task, and asking if they were as difficult as I'd heard...!
Tyco offered me some tips, and then went further in offering a full-on demonstration -- which I accepted. He took me to their iceberg, gave a bit of an intro, then demonstrated a few kills which I paid close attention to (though he did warn me to "stay back, they do area damage"...! dangerous things, those mammoths).
At the end of that, he let me have a go myself, which -- despite a bad internet connection, I tried. And succeeded! The game stalled for me at various points in the fight, but he voked right at the end when I was in a tight spot, and so I survived my first kill. It felt great! Battling against both mammoths and the shakiness of my internet connection :P
Tyco's a great teacher and, in general, has a way of making RuneScape really feel like an adventure. The hands-on training was both useful and fun, on a night where I'd seriously needed de-stressing. I reckon it's RAWR-worthy!
